Chairman of the Board
Dennis Bonnen, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Heritage Bank, has previously held the positions of Vice President and Business Development Officer at First Community Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Moody Bank. Mr. Bonnen was first elected to the Texas Legislature in 1996, served as Chairman of the Environmental Regulation Committee from 2003 – 2009, and now serves as Chairman of Land and Resource Management. He has also served on the Ways and Means, Insurance and Pensions and Investments committees. Mr. Bonnen also sits on several business and charitable organization boards in Brazoria County. He was recently named one of the top 40 Houston business leaders under the age of 40 by the Houston Business Journal. He and his wife, Kim, have two sons.
Dr. Greg Bonnen
Dr. Greg Bonnen is a practicing neurosurgeon in Friendswood, Texas and currently serves as the Board Chairman of Houston Physician’s Hospital in Webster, Texas. Dr. Bonnen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and an M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He and his wife, Kim, have two daughters.
Suzanne O’Day Elliott
Suzanne O’Day Elliott is a lifelong resident of Pearland, Texas, and is actively involved in local business and community service groups. She currently serves as president of O’Day Rental and Supply Inc, a retail hardware and rental company; Vice President of Elliott’s Automotive Inc., a full service auto repair facility; and is a partner in MOSE Development L.L.C., a real estate development company. Mrs. Elliott serves on the board of directors of Handy Hardware Wholesale Inc., a hardware buying co-op located in Houston, Texas with a membership of 1,200 dealers in nine southern states with annual sales of $240 million. She is President of the Rotary Club of Pearland, is very involved in the youth exchange program of Rotary International and is a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Pearland. Mrs. Elliott is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, and is actively involved in several businesses with her family. She and her husband, Lonnie, have two college-aged children.
Dr. Randy Ellis
Dr. Randy Ellis is a private practice orthodontist in Pearland, Texas. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC)-Houston Dental Branch, and is a member of the University of Texas Cleft Palate Team. Dr. Ellis received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame where he was awarded a football scholarship. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UTHSC-Houston Dental Branch, eventually earning a Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry, Certificate of Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree, also from UTHSC-Houston Dental Branch. He is on the Friendswood Independent School District's Education Foundation Board of Directors and is involved in various professional and civic activities.
Dan Flynn has more than 45 years of experience in the banking and business industry, including serving as a director for six banks, four of which were community banks. He started his career as a clerk for North Austin State Bank, eventually moving on to serve as Senior Bank Examiner at the State of Texas Department of Banking from 1965 to 1972. Mr. Flynn served as Senior Vice President and Manager of Correspondent Banking for Texas Bank and Trust Company of Dallas (purchased by First City Bank of Houston), as Executive Vice President of First Bank Richardson, and was Deputy Banking Commissioner from 1976 to1981. Subsequently, he was President and CEO of Merchants Financial Corporation in Dallas, and Vice President at International Bank Brownsville. Mr. Flynn was also a bank consultant for 11 years, including Member Relations Consultant for the American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C.
Flynn has served on the Advisory Council for the Texas Tech University Center for Professional Development College of Business Administration and has been a faculty member of the Intermediate School of Bank Management and Credit Administration at Southern Methodist University. Additionally, Mr. Flynn serves on the Advisory Boards for Dallas and North East Texas Church of the Nazarene. As State Representative for the 2nd District of Texas, Mr. Flynn represents the citizens of Hunt, Rains and Van Zandt Counties and serves on the Pensions, Investments and Financial Services Committee.
R.C. “Bob” Gulledge
Bob Gulledge is President and Director of Standard Constructors, Inc. Mr. Gulledge, a native Houstonian, was raised in the construction business working weekends and summers, both in the U.S and overseas, for his family’s industrial construction businesses which dates back to the 1930s. He attended the University of Texas-Austin and the University of Houston, where he studied Civil Engineering before joining the family business permanently. Mr. Gulledge incorporated the company as Standard Constructors, Inc. and built Standard to be an award-recognized company for safety, reputation and quality. Standard has employed up to 450 craft workers in the industrial civil and mechanical construction world for the last 34 years. Mr. Gulledge and Standard are members of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC), American Railroad Engineering and Maintenance Association (AREMA), and is a life member of Houston Livestock and Rodeo where he served as committeeman to vice chairman on the swine committee helping to raise millions of dollars annually for continued education scholarships in Texas. He and his wife, Diana, have been married since 1972, currently reside in Pearland, Texas, and attend St. Helen’s Church. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. When not working, he spends time traveling and with family and grandchildren.
Rusty Kelley has represented the business interests of Fortune 500 companies, various associations and other organizations before state legislators, regulators, or other elected officials for more than 30 years. He is regarded as a leader and an innovator in his field, and has been noted in publications such as Texas Monthly, San Antonio Express News, and Capitol Inside for his dedication, intelligence, and character. Mr. Kelley is a highly-effective player in state politics. He is consistently sought after to be involved in all major pieces of legislation during each Legislative Session. Mr. Kelley has worked in politics since he was 20-years-old, and has seen the power change party hands numerous times. Throughout the years he has employed the use of effective technology and has developed several legislative strategies that allow him to consistently produce desired results. Prior to lobbying, he served as Chief of Staff of the Office of the Speaker of the House, and served as Chief Sergeant at Arms in the Texas House of Representatives.
Kim Koza is active in the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club, and is currently serving as the Lions District 2S-4 Cabinet Secretary. She also serves on the Shadycrest Elementary Executive PTA Board, and is involved in several other community organizations. She holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas Tech University, and resides in Pearland, Texas, with her husband Jerry and their two children.
